I was surfing the Internet for information regarding tattoo when i encountered this slightly amusing story of how tattoo came to be. As most tattoo artists and enthusiasts understand. Tattoos are created by inserting colored materials inside the skin's surface. The first tattoos probably were created by an accident. Someone had a small wound, and rubbed it with soot and ashes from a fire.[citation needed] Once the wound had healed, they saw that a mark stayed permanently.

Well, I think it's likely that that's how people new that tattoos could be done. But I don't think that this accidental discovery would be enough to get people motivated to do body art. I think there would have to be good reasons that stand alone from finding out that it is possible.

Sounds logical, but ancient people really do decorate their bodies with so many artsies for aesthetic purposes, also perhaps for lack of clothing yet.  And it has evolved from there, for those who want permanency they digged dipper into their skins and found more ways than one to imprint their own messages.  Just a thought...

That sounds like a very interesting idea. I never thought of that, but maybe it is possible. Just like when adam and eve gained sense and made loincloths for themselves because they were embarrassed by the fact that they were naked, some of our ancestors used tattoos instead of clothing themselves.  Finger
