it depends on the scar tissue and the age of  the scar, I would recommend that you do a search for an artist that has plenty of experience in working on scar tissue.
make sure to check their portfolio and if possible speak with one of the clients that they have worked on.

good luck in your quest and i would love to see a photo of the end results if and when you have it done

it's a good idea to hide a scar. But I think the doctors will say that it's not good for health.

Only an experienced tattoo artist can tell you if scar tissue can be tattooed. I recently had scars covered and my artist did a beautiful job!

Yes it can be done, I have some major scarring which I am currently getting covered.

As a rule, the older and flatter and paler the scars are, the easier they are to cover, and the better they 'take' and retain the ink.

Red, raised and fresh scars are harder to cover, I have been putting BIO-OIL on mine, its a little expensive but it works miracles.

You really need to discuss it with your tattoo artist, good luck   Smiley

I would consult with some artists and maybe even skin doctors. there is a good chance the tattoo may appear distorted and absorb ink in an abnormal way among other things.

I think I have the same thoughts about hiding something except I want to hide my stretch marks. Is it medically ok?

I haven't heard anyone complain about having any problems with tattoos over their scars. But again, that's only me lol!

i think that's a great idea but first consult a professional, that might cause a problem if the skin where the scar is, is not yet ready for a tat... Grin
